Sitting at the heart of Southern Africa, Botswana is a truly diverse land. From the arid wilderness of the Kalahari Desert in the South with its unique red sand dunes, to the lush, verdant Okavango Delta, this surprising country will cast its spell over you. This is undoubtedly Africa's greatest wildlife destination, with game roaming freely across the plains and not restricted to the parks. The beauty of this country goes beyond modern times to ancient human settlements linked to the present day San people living in the Tsodilo Hills for the last thousands of years. The place has enormous cultural significance. Travelling through Botswana is easy and comfortable with excellent road networks rare on this continent. One wonders how this beautiful African country seems to have very low population count. It therefore comes as no surprise that this wilderness destination is far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and is both unexploited and unexplored, discover it soon, it will not disappoint you.

The Safari Highlights 

This Safari begins with the beautiful reserve of Okavango Delta; richly endowed with acacia forests,  lagoons, floodplains, and mopane woodlands. And journeys to Chobe National park – famous for its high concentration of Elephants, where you will have a touch of a country so uniquely endowed with wildlife, fauna & flora at the heart of the Kalahari Desert – a cold desert. We will then crown the safari with a touch of natures’ own mystery at the famous Victoria Falls in the neighboring Zambia – named the seventh wonder of the World.



Day 1: Arrival at Maun and Transfer to  kavango Delta

Pick up on arrival at Maun Airport and transfer to Okavango Delta on a charter plane (40 min). The Okavango is a labyrinth of lagoons, lakes and hidden channels and is the largest inland delta in the world. Trapped in the parched Kalahari sands it is a magnet for the wildlife who depend on the permanent waters of this unique feature.

This flight is beautiful as you will enjoy a spectacular Okavango landscape from the air. Check-in will be at the Nxabega Okavango Safari Camp, a superbly comfortable lodge overlooking the floodplains or accommodation facility of your choice (budget or luxury). The rest of the afternoon will be spent at leisure while enjoying the facilities till dinner time.


Day 2: Okavango Delta Experience (Full day)

You will snack on a cup of coffee then set off for an early morning game drive in the Okavango Delta, where you can expect to see a variety of game and bird-life. The delta environment has a large high concentration of rare animals such as, red lechwe, sitatunga, elephant, wild dogs, buffalo, wattled crane as well as the other more common mammals and bird life. You will then return to the lodge  for a full breakfast and relax until time for lunch.

In the late afternoon you will go on Makoro boat trip exploring the water ways. You can expect to spot a range of bird-life and game in this area, including the rare sitatunga antelope, Red lechwe and hippo. Some of the bird species include African Skimmer, Goliath Heron, African Fish Eagle and Wattled Crane.


Day 3: Transfer to Moremi
Breakfast followed by checkout and a 30min charter flight to Moremi Game Reserve, with incredible game viewing and scenery.  Check-in will be at the accommodation facility of your choice (budget or luxury), after check-in you will enjoy boat trips into the sinuous channels of the Khwai River, one of Africa's greatest natural wonders. Here you can expect to see a vast number of bird-life. You will then return to the lodge and relax.

In the evening you will go on a game drive along the Khwai River and its accompanying floodplains with possible sighting of the hippo, elephants,  lions, and numerous antelope species. Keep an eye on the dense undergrowth and the towering jackal berry trees for possible sighting of the beautiful but elusive leopards.

Day 4: Transfer to Savuti (5hrs)
After breakfast you will checkout and journey northwards to Savuti section of the Chobe National Park crossing the bridge over the River khwai, its construction out of raw mopane poles makes it an experience not to be easily forgotten. Lunch will be en route thereafter you will proceed to Chobe arriving in the late afternoon. Check-in will be at accommodation facility of your choice (budget or luxury) where you will relax till time for dinner.  


Day 5: Game Drive in the Savuti Area
After an early cup of coffee, you leave for a pre-dawn game drive in Savute section of Chobe National Park. The Savuti  “marsh” is a sweeping expanse of Savannah looking over the seven ancient rocky outcrops.


The Park is best known for its concentrations of elephant – some  120000 individuals. The park is also home to buffalos, antelopes and a number of predators including the Lion plus prolific biedlife  . After the game drive you will return to the lodge for a full breakfast and relax until time for lunch.

In the afternoon you will visit the rocky outcrop to see the Bushman’s paintings which points to the ancient civilization once there. After that you will visit the local village around the park to experience life in an African community. Here you may have the opportunity to purchase souvenirs. Later you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 6: Transfer to Chobe River Side (3hrs)
You will have breakfast then checkout and drive to Chobe River side arriving in time for lunch. Check-in will be at the accommodation facility of your choice (budget or luxury). 


At Chobe you will appreciate  unique fresh lands with high concentration of buffalo and elephant herds, spectacular sunset and prolific birdlife. And you will explore the Chobe River front by vehicle, and the river itself by boat. In the afternoon you will take a motorized boat trip on Chobe River where you will see a variety of birds, huge Elephant population coming down to the river to drink water. After this you will return to the lodge and then take the rest of the day leisurely.


Day 7: Game Drive in Chobe NP
You will take a snack and a cup of coffee, and then set off on an early morning game drive in the river side of the park where you can expect to see a variety of game including the elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, lion, cheetah, leopard and hyena. A drive along the river front will give you an excellent opportunity to see wildlife up close and track the spoor of the Chobe’s lion prides’ in the soft Chobe sands. After the drive you will return to the lodge to relax, perhaps try out the spa for more relaxation. Dinner will be your choice, just the way you like it.

Day 8: Transfer to Victoria Falls (2hrs)
You will check-out after breakfast and drive through Kazangula boarder to The Livingstone Islands in the neighboring Zambia. Check-in will be at the accomoodation facility of your choice (budget or luxury) where you will relax.

In the afternoon you will visit the "Mosi oa Tunya National Park". The name translates to" the smoke that thunders" with an incredible view of the falls. You will take a walk across the Livingstone Islands to a heart-stopping peak on the edge of the falls.  There after you will return to the hotel and the rest of the day will be spent at leisure, enjoying the hotel facilities.


Day 9-13: The Livingstone Experience

Your days will be spent at lesiure enjoying the Livingstone area. You have the option of visiting the Thorntree lodge for an Elephant ride. The trail leads through river side bush of the shallow part of the Zambezi River to the Island. The ride is 1hr, after which the guide will give an informative talk on the African Elephant and its relationship with man.  After this you will enjoy a mid-morning snack and later return to your hotel for lunch.


In the afternoon, you will enjoy a Sunset cruise on River Zambezi; this is romantic setting as you savour traditional cocktails and snacks. You will then return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.



Day 14: Departure

This day marks the end of your safari, Voyager African safaris believes you have enjoyed your tour. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Victoria International Airport, where you will take an out bound flight to your next destination.
